EPIC- Professional Learning Specialist

Stephanie is a professional learning specialist with nearly three decades of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grade Education with an emphasis in Language Arts and Social Studies from Kentucky Wesleyan College, where she was among the first recipients of a leadership citation and was inducted into the Order of Oak and Ivy. She was also recognized as Middle School Student Teacher of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, and Woman of the Year for her philanthropic work in the Owensboro community.

She earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration (K–12 Principalship) from Western Kentucky University. During her experience in the school system, she spent many years teaching middle school Language Arts and Social Studies before serving 12 years as a Curriculum Coordinator. In that role, she led the implementation of high-quality instructional resources, facilitated professional learning communities, planned and delivered professional development, and authored Comprehensive School Improvement Plans. She has received extensive training in Cognitive Coaching and Thinking Strategies through PEBC, as well as Kagan and Kagan Coaching. Her leadership experience also includes serving as a lead for Striving Readers and Co-Teaching grants, SBDM Council member, Building Assessment Coordinator, and helped develop a mentorship program for new teachers.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching sports, and doing home decorating projects.
