Lena Humphrey serves as a Special Education Due Process and Compliance Consultant. Her professional journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Colorado University. Early in her career, Lena worked in banking, where her role as a trainer sparked a deep love for teaching and education.

This newfound passion led Lena to transition into the field of education. Through Option 6, she became a Special Education teacher and subsequently earned her Master's degree in Special Education from Georgetown College. Furthering her educational leadership, she obtained a Rank I in Principalship from the University of the Cumberlands. Lena dedicated seven years to teaching Special Education, gaining invaluable classroom experience.

Drawing on her firsthand experience as a special education teacher, Lena is particularly excited to support educators with the processes involved in special education. She remembers the challenges of being a new teacher, especially the lack of training on how to effectively write the IEP document, which is crucial for creating a truly impactful educational and academic experience for the students we serve. Lena is dedicated to helping teachers develop and utilize these vital documents more effectively, ultimately benefiting students.
