Jones
JoAnna Jones is a dedicated PBIS Consultant with the Green River Regional Educational Cooperative (GRREC) and Project ACCESS, bringing more than a decade of diverse educational leadership experience to her work with schools across Kentucky. Her professional journey spans roles as a Classroom Teacher, School Counselor, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Elementary Instruction—equipping her with a comprehensive, systems-level understanding of how to support students, staff, and school communities effectively. JoAnna holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement from Western Kentucky University. She also earned a Rank I in School Counseling and an Educational Leadership Endorsement, further strengthening her expertise in student support services, instructional leadership, and organizational improvement.
A respected leader at both the state and national levels, JoAnna actively contributes to initiatives that advance student well-being, positive school culture, and integrated systems of support. She serves on multiple leadership teams and professional organizations, including the Council of Administrators of Special Education and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. She is also a member of Kentucky’s Project AWARE 2.0 and School Climate Transformation Project State Leadership Team, as well as the Kentucky Department of Education Project AWARE ISF Committee.
Driven by a deep belief that every student deserves a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment, JoAnna is passionate about helping schools implement sustainable, data-driven systems that promote positive behavior, mental wellness, and academic success. She finds particular joy in coaching and empowering school teams to build capacity, strengthen culture, and create lasting change that improves outcomes for all students.
