Fresh out of graduate school, Mackenzie Marovich is dedicated to unearthing and creating stories to share with the world. In her role as Creative Media Specialist at Green River Educational Cooperative (GRREC), her goal is to continue to tell the stories of the amazing accomplishments of educators, administrators, and all the people who make GRREC an impactful place. Through research of social media trends and a background in creative marketing, she hopes to help GRREC's message reach a wider audience.

Mackenzie comes from Northwest Indiana, where she grew up with a basketball by day, writing by night lifestyle. The hard work ethic that was built from this carried her to Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where she played basketball while pursuing a BA in English with a minor in both Education and Creative Writing. She continued her education at Western Kentucky University, where she got her MFA, developing a novel as her culminating thesis. To this role, Mackenzie brings the skills she crafted in storytelling and experience in using marketing as a way to share these stories.
