Janelle Tomes is the Elevate Academy Coordinator at GRREC, where she passionately works to provide educators with a meaningful and job-embedded option to earn a rank change. With a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education and a Master of Arts in Education, Janelle brings a strong educational background to her role. Prior to her current position, she taught middle grades math for 6.5 years and served as the Director of Operations of a real estate company for 6 years, showcasing her diverse professional accomplishments.

In addition to her work at GRREC, Janelle is affiliated with the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization, where she currently serves as 1st Vice President. She has made notable contributions to the organization, utilizing her expertise and passion for education.

Janelle finds great joy in her work, being continually inspired by the positive impact that Elevate Academy can have on educators, students, schools, and districts. Her dedication to empowering educators and enhancing the educational landscape is evident in her role as the Elevate Academy Coordinator.
